Meet Josh!
About
I am a graduate student earning my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am excited to be completing my practicum and clinical internship with The FL Wolters Group.

I am charismatic, caring, patient, and nonjudgmental, and I love building strong relationships with clients. I work with a diverse set of clients on areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I believe in a holistic treatment approach that addresses the client's entire well-being, including socially, occupationally, and relationally. I utilize the wellness model, meaning that I go beyond simply treating disorders in the short term and strive to help clients reach their full and lasting potential.

My therapeutic approach incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I also studied under author and leading expert in Positive Psychology, Dr. Tim Bono; I provide trauma-informed care and am certified in the Trauma Toolbox course by Ron Huxley, LMFT; and I am trained in mindfulness-based techniques, having studied in Nepal under Buddhist nun Kerry Chöyang Tsomo.
