Hello, and welcome to the F.L. Wolters Group!
My name is Lottena Wolters. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of the F.L. Wolters Group.
I provide non-judgmental counseling to adults experiencing major life changes, personal and professional relationship difficulties, and mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD and trauma. My goal as a therapist is to help you uncover your true self, assert your needs and make time to nurture your peace.
The types of therapies I use include: Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other client-centered approaches. I have a strong professional interest in expressive therapies, such as dance/movement therapy.
I was born and raised in Liberia and I also grew up in Northern Virginia, Yemen and Pakistan. I earned my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. In my spare time, I enjoy puttering around in my garden, West African drumming, and Latin social dances.
Please feel free to get in touch by using our contact form. I very much look forward to getting to know you.
P.S. If you’re here to seek career opportunities, the practice is growing. We are recruiting a diverse range of healing and wellness professionals to join the practice! If you or someone you know is interested in working with us, please do not hesitate to send your resume and cover letter.
